Seja Como Uma Flor (Be like a flower), 2025
A series of resilient blooms that have adapted to changing environments. Deeply-rooted they connect us to the botanical world. Flourishing, a ‘flor’, is an expression of right conditions.
These Flower Sculptures will be in the exhibition space of THIMI Arquitetura, at CASA COR RIO – 2025, from September 9 to October 26.

After moving to Rio de Janeiro from Australia in 2018 many questions arose about how to adapt and flourish in a different environment. These flowers came out of research into my own ancestral roots, a deeper enquiry into belonging, plus memories of isolated lands and deserts.
